The Project
The objective is to allow users to discover new movies and series through their friends' lists and/or content creators, while benefiting from personalized recommendations. The concept was intended to serve as a basis for future functional development, while highlighting the social and interactive aspect of the service.
My Approach
A Feasible Concept
The main goal of this service is to promote films through word-of-mouth and sharing among users. It also allows for the centralization of all the films that one wishes to discover on a single platform.
A Defined Target
The application primarily targets young adult film enthusiasts, aged 20 to 30, whether they are newcomers or knowledgeable about the film industry. Its communication adopts a friendly and accessible tone, designed to create a direct connection with users.
A Clear Strategy
The main strategy of this application is largely inspired by social networks, both in its aesthetics and operation. The goal is to maximize user engagement, encouraging a broad audience to take an interest in the world of cinema and to share their discoveries with their peers.
Difficulties
The consistency of the user journey
One of the main challenges of this project was to maintain consistency throughout the user journey. I had to ensure that users could easily transition from discovering films to viewing recommendations, while integrating social features, which required several iterations and adjustments of the wireframe. The goal was to create a logical and pleasant journey, capable of guiding the user without getting them lost in the interface.
Defining a solid concept
Another significant challenge was to precisely determine the added value of the application, its key features, and its positioning relative to existing services. This step required considering the needs of different target profiles and how to create a service that is both engaging and intuitive.
