Wicklow Wolf is an independent Irish craft brewery specializing in the production of high-quality craft beers, founded by Quincey Fennelly and Simon Lynch.

Redesign their website to promote the first edition of their electro music festival.

The Project

The site combines the raw world of craft beer with the vibrant aesthetics of the electronic scene, through an artistic direction that merges textures, contrasting typography, dynamic animations, and a palette of bright and powerful colors. The visual identity plays on the tensions between nature and technology, fermentation and vibration, in an atmosphere that is both immersive and sensory. It is a free project that explores the possibilities of event design through a balance of user experience, visual storytelling, and brand identity.

My Approach

Create a Different Aesthetic

I sought to create a website that would be different from the main Wicklow Wolf site while keeping some features of the artistic direction of their brand.

A Distinct Identity
Marked by a palette of bright and attractive colors, the site is set in pure electro colors.
A Thoughtful Navigation
The navigation is designed as a smooth and impactful journey, where the user discovers the programming, the locations, the beers, and the atmosphere of the festival.

The Difficulties

The Mixing of Styles
One of the most challenging aspects of this project was adapting the graphic style of Wicklow Wolf to the colorful and lively style of electro. Wicklow Wolf is distinguished by its understated and functional communication with rectangular shapes and equally geometric typography.
The Hierarchy of Information
To stay as close to the reality of the working world as possible, the project brief was given in a disorganized and somewhat vague manner, like a typical client. Thus, it was difficult to gather all the information and stay organized. For the structure, I relied on the current site of Wicklow Wolf while adding my vision of the project.
